It does not work on the GIGABYTE GA-Z170-Gaming K3 have the opportunity to upgrade ?

  • Roman

    Bob,
I have it working + overclocked.

  • raystriker

Will this also work on the rev 1.1 K3 mobo?

  • Joe

This BIOS does not work for the K3 motherboards. I have also tried it and followed the instructions mentioned on the site, but as soon as I bump the speed over 102.00mhz, the system does not boot. Just cycles over and over.

This BİOS not working. I have Gigabyte Gaming K3 EU and Pentium G4500.

  • Dan

Can anyone confirm that it works on the rev 1.1 version?

    100% works on rev 1.0

  • Griever

    Excellent works on rev 1.1
    z170 K3-EU + i5 6400

I have the same mb – Rev. 1.1, the one with E2400 Killer Gigabit… – with an i5-6400.
My stock UEFI is ver. F2. Many persons, I read, speak about problems with this uefi upgrade, so I’m not sure to use it. Can anyone confirm that it works fine on my configuration? I still have a good cpu cooling system, so I’d like to “use” it with an overclocked cpu. Thanks for any suggestion.

I updated through @BIOS. No problem absolutely.
Installed many versions. Stayed at this, because overclocking.

Thank you Griever, I’ll try it today!
          Have a great day.

How did it work out for you? @David?

          • David

@raystriker: perfect! I’ve 3.800Mhz (multiplier at 27x, max value for my i5 6400), with Vcore at 1.150V and DDR4 at 3000Mhz . With a very cheap (20€) aftermarket air-cooler (Thermaltake, I don’t remember model) I’ve 45°C max in stressed, in idle is even lower.

It works on the z170 gaming k3 EU 1.1rev with my i5 6500. updated from f2 bios to f2c,
just follow the video it’s easy as pie. also make sure when you select the options you click (select) then type them
in!!! I was trying to click on them expecting it to come up with a list of options (I’m stuck in the old bios way of thinking lol)
kinda threw me off for a second…

It works also for me on z170 gaming k3 eu rev 1.1 with i5 6500. I have stable 4 GHz. The only downside is the lack of ability to read the temperature in windows, all progrmas that I’ve tested indicated 100 Celsius degrees.
