ASRock Z170 Gaming K6 Non-K OC BIOS

ASRock Z170 Gaming K6 Non-K OC BIOS

Support for BCLK Overclocking of CPUs like i3-6100, Pentium G4400, i5-6400, i7-6700 and all other non-K CPUs.

Don’t use this for K-series CPUs.
It might damage your hardware, no guarantees provided.

  • Enter the BIOS and go to the OC Tweaker – DRAM Configuration.
  • Load the XMP Profile to adjust your memory correctly
  • Adjust the BCLK to the level you need
  • Adjust the DRAM Frequency to the correct level. I had to stay below 2800 MHz on the memory to achieve high BCLK clocks
  • Go to: OC Tweaker – Voltage configuration. Set the vCore you want. Stay below 1.40 for 24/7 OC

No need to download this BIOS.
non-K Skylake OC works fine with the stock ASRock BIOS.
I did get my K6 delivered with 2.80.
I did a quick test to OC my i5 6400@4GHz -> worked just fine
Updated via the BIOS over the internet to 7.20 -> runs stable @ 4.5GHz

I did find out however, that the adjustment of the RAM is a bit different then der 8auer describes:
    1. load the XMP Profile
    2. adjust the BCLK to your favor
    3. adjust the cpu core voltage to 1.325V
    4. go back to the DRAM page and adjust the ratio for your RAM

    This way my i5 6400 with 2x8GB 3200 CL15 RAM runs stable at 167MHz BCLK, 1.325V and the RAM at a ratio of 1:15 @ 3340MHz
